Daphne Aslanidi | Lighting Designer – Photographer

She was born in Rhodes in 1989 and grew up in Leros.

In 2006 she moved to Athens to study civil engineering at NTUA. Her goal was to combine technology with aesthetics, so she continued her studies in the field of Architectural Lighting Design & Design Management at the University of Wismar. At the same period, while investigating the inner and outer world, seeking Love and Truth in human beings and human relationships, she is gradually involved with photography.

Since 2018 she lives and works in Athens, collaborating with lighting design companies. In 2020 her first solo photo exhibition took place near Omonoia Square with the title: “The way I’ve been seen”. In 2021 she publishes her first photo book: “ 10 Years Self Portraits”. The same year, she organizes the action: “ Art Act Now”: The collection and disposal of artworks to support financial organizations, which help the victims of wildfires that took place in Greece.
